Yankuik Xihuitl Makuilli Kalli Aztec New Year Festival and Spring Equinox Celebration

Starting off AT 6AM • (Sun Rise Ceremony) with the building of our annual pre-Columbian flower alter representing The symbolism of the new year cycle.

Followed by a splendorous ceremony of «Mitotialistli» better known as Aztec Danza guided by «KALPULLI DANZA MEXIKA» come experience the sounds of ancient wisdom, as your eyes take in the grandeur and beauty of times almost forgotten.

FOLLOWING OUR CEREMONY:

We will immediately open our stage for presentation of indigenous knowledge, poetry, music and much more like our live painting session and open art gallery presented by Mictlan Murals, Rah Azul, Joe Galarza, Sonji Art, J. StormCloud chaves and many others.
